If you are not doing this on a CS lab machine, and are having problems with the SVGViewer, make sure you have downloaded the binary and libraries from Adobe. Here is the url for the installer: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/magic/svgviewer/win/3.x/3.03/en/SVGView.exe

Also, here is the URL to the project page from last semester. It has a TON of helpful information on it. If you are having problems, you will probably want to peruse it thoroughly.
