MS AccessSyllabus for all sect

We have used the .mdb database format for the relational databases in our recent projects. This format is accessible via the OleDB interface, which we employ in the project and which comes with Visual Studio. In a sense, if you’re working in VS, then .mdb is the native relational database format.

It can be helpful to browse the data in its tabular form through Microsoft Access. I used Access to browse the data in Project #2 help sessions. We do not require that you use Access. However, if you need an Access license, consider installing it via the MS Academic Alliance at no charge:

As an alternative to MS Access, VS 2005 comes with SQL Server Express, which does not come with some of the features that Access has, but it has some other nice features, including sharing a format and SQL language with SQL Server.
I'm not sure what upcoming choice we have on a database format. Maybe it's project #4 and I haven't gotten that far yet. So disregard if you think this is irrelevant. :)
