[Misc.] Sacred votes drenched in the blood of martyrs
[CNN.com - Democrats charged in Election Day tire-slashing in Wisconsin - Jan 24, 2005] I seem to recall some rhetoric in the democratic national convention from Al Sharpton in which he went on and on about how sacred the right to vote was etc. Well, it appears that some people in the democratic party agree with Al unless (allegedly) those votes are likely to be for republicans! That's great. Maybe the democrats could get some Iraqi insurgents to come help out in the next election?

[Misc.] Woot me!

[Misc.] Spitfire G-FIRE pictures
[Wings of Silver - Supermarine Spitfire NH904 G-FIRE, another pictures, definitive pictures ] I am just about done with my balsa and paper Spitfire model and trying to find a paintjob for it. The WW II paint schemes are , um, not that cool. But, these version looks pretty cool...

[Education] Interesting takes on CS education
[Slashdot | Joel Gives College Advice For Programmers] Its always fun to read things like this and see how one's own classes and experience with students compare. I agree on learning C, writing and economics.

[Misc.] Hurricane Half Marathon
[City of Hurricane, Utah] Now that the moab half starts so late and requires a lottery to get in, the Hurricane half looks real good to me. The race appears to be on May 7 and starts at 6:30am. It starts at the Pioneer marker for Nancy Ott, who is most likely one of my great-great-great grandmothers.
